I am proud to endorse Michella Vincent for Vice President of Teamsters Local 2024.

Michella and I have worked side by side on the same nursing unit for nearly 10 years, and during that time I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the qualities that make her such an exceptional nurse, coworker, advocate, and leader.

What stands out to me most is that Michella has already demonstrated her leadership—not because she was asked to, or because she held a title, but because she genuinely believes in standing up for her fellow nurses. Everything she has done up to this point has been on a volunteer basis and on her own time. She has consistently given her time, energy, and voice because she believes our nurses deserve to be heard, respected, and united.

We have seen her leadership in the countless open-table discussions she has organized in the atrium, creating opportunities for nurses to ask questions, share concerns, and become more involved. We have seen her walking around passing out goodies and encouraging nurses to come together and participate. More importantly, we have seen nurses continually seek her out—on the unit and outside of work—for questions, guidance, help, and advice. That speaks volumes about the trust she has earned from her coworkers.

Michella doesn't simply talk about advocating for nurses—she does it. She has been steadfast in her vision for our hospital and for nurses across all of our Corewell campuses. Her vision extends beyond her own unit or department; she understands that Local 2024 represents approximately 10,000 nurses, and she has consistently demonstrated that she wants every one of those nurses to have a voice.

I believe Michella has the courage to speak up, the compassion to listen, and the determination to keep moving forward even when the work is difficult. She understands that our newly won union is about more than a contract—it is about building a stronger, more unified nursing workforce and making sure nurses have a meaningful voice in our workplace.

Michella has already been doing the work of a leader. I believe she is exactly the kind of person we need representing us as Vice President of Teamsters Local 2024.

I wholeheartedly support Michella Vincent and encourage my fellow nurses to support her as well.

Michella has given her time, her voice, and her heart to this effort. Now I believe it is time we give her our vote.
