Debbie Miracle, Farmington Hills
I proudly endorse Alison Lorentz for Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 2024.
Alison brings valuable experience in accounting, management, business ownership, and Teamster membership. Throughout our organizing campaign, she has demonstrated strong leadership, financial knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to representing our nurses.
As one of the original leaders who signed the Petition to Charter Local 2024, Alison has played an important role in our journey to establish our local. She led organizing efforts at the Taylor campus and continues to advocate for all members.
Throughout negotiations, Alison has been a trusted resource whenever financial figures needed to be analyzed, calculated, or compared with information provided by the IBT. She took the initiative to develop a proposed wage scale for us to bring to the bargaining table and was willing to speak up when numbers did not add up. Her ability to understand the details, recognize discrepancies, and evaluate financial information has been an invaluable asset to our team. T
he Secretary-Treasurer position requires someone who understands financial responsibilities, brings relevant experience, and can step into the role prepared to serve. Alison’s background and practical knowledge provide a strong foundation for this responsibility. Her ability to work with numbers, combined with her leadership experience and commitment to our union, makes her well prepared to take on this role and serve our membership effectively.
From leading her campus to helping represent our 10,000 nurses, Alison has consistently demonstrated her commitment to our union. I am confident that her experience and knowledge will be valuable assets to Local 2024 as we move forward. For these reasons, I proudly endorse Alison Lorentz for Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 2024.
I also endorse her slate, “We Are 2024: 10K Strong,” including Katherine Wallace, Michella Vincent, Suzi Carbone, Jody Woodley, Chau Tran-Yang, and Melissa Bosman.
