Well from working with Katherine Wallace and Suzi Carbone they are exceptional nurses who embody what nursing is about. I seen Katherine countless times advocate for her patients making sure they get the best treatment as possible she is such a good example. Katherine always puts her patients and teamsters first making countless adjustments to her work schedule to be at all the teamsters events and was in the frontlines during protest.
Suzi has always stepped up and been at various locations with supporting teamsters providing the teamsters goals to new nursing staff and I have seen her on the rainiest days and hottest days out supporting this organization. They both uphold the nursing values and are great examples leaders for others to follow who will continue to fight for their coworkers rights.
I have full confidence in their abilities to lead and want the best for their comrades and fellow nurses. I am 100% confident in their leadership abilities and teamsters ability to uphold their workers standards of safety professionalism and dedication. Being nurses themselves they value safe nurse to patient ratios they will fight for nurses to feel they are apart of a safe working environment and not be put in a situation where their licenses and livelihoods are at stake.
Nursing is ever changing 30-40% of nurses leave the profession within 3 yrs of graduation due to safety, management and burnout. These leaders goal will be to provide new nurses with a safe work environment where they can thrive and grow.
Overall happy with what’s been accomplished and looking forward to what other strides we can take to improve the nursing profession to make it like it once was the most trusted profession out there by the public.
